SURGICAL TREATMENTS

FIH Surgical Departments which administers all departmental functions and the provision of surgical diagnostic and therapeutic services. Some of the more intensive surgeries still require patients to stay overnight or longer in a hospital setting. This allows clinical staff to monitor the patient’s recovery and ensures immediate medical attention in case of complications. These patients will attend on the day of admission, to be seen by the doctors, Anesthetist and nurses to have the admission documentation completed and be prepared for theatre.

operating theatres use the latest technology and are staffed by friendly, professional teams. They cover a variety of specialties, including Orthopedics, Urology, Gynecology, Ophthalmology, Neurosurgery and General surgery.

The FIH Surgery Department is staffed with highly skilled Registered Nurses, Nurse Anesthetists, Practical Nurses, Surgical Technologists, and Sterile Central Technicians. FMC nurses are all certified in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ALCL). FMC is available to perform surgery 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
